Three Toilets Replaced in Duvall: "Completed Ahead of Schedule"

A Duvall homeowner had three original Mansfield toilets that had reached the end of their useful life. Rather than nurse them along one repair at a time, she had all three replaced in a single visit. Josh and PJ did the work at the end of July, and finished sooner than we'd quoted.

What We Did

The three old Mansfield units came out and three Toto Drake elongated comfort-height toilets went in, each with a soft-close seat. Comfort height is the detail people notice a week later — a couple of inches taller than a standard bowl, and considerably easier to get on and off.

Everything that connects a toilet to the house got replaced at the same time, because that's where the failures actually start:

  • New wax rings and closet bolts on all three. Reusing either is how you get a slow leak under the flange six months later.
  • Braided stainless supply lines in place of the old ones.
  • Quarter-turn angle stops replacing the two push-pull valves serving the upstairs bathrooms. Push-pull stops seize, and a stop that won't close is the reason a small problem becomes a wet ceiling.
  • Caulked bases for a clean finish, and every toilet flush-tested and checked for leaks before we left.

The work carries a three-year warranty on both the plumbing workmanship and the Toto fixtures.

What the Customer Said

"Had 3 toilets installed. Very professional, answered all our questions and work was completed ahead of schedule. Highly recommend."
Jennifer H., Duvall ★★★★★

Why It Matters

  • Replacing three at once costs less than three separate visits. One trip, one setup, one round of shut-offs.
  • The parts around the toilet matter more than the toilet. Wax rings, supplies and angle stops are what leak. Replacing the bowl and reusing the rest is a false economy.
  • Push-pull angle stops are worth replacing on sight. They're common in Duvall homes of a certain age and they seize closed — or worse, seize open.

Why Duvall

We work in Duvall constantly, and a good share of it is 1990s and 2000s housing now hitting the age where original fixtures and valves start giving up together. That's exactly the situation where doing all three at once makes sense rather than replacing them one emergency at a time.

We're in Fall City, a short run down the valley, so Duvall is home ground.
